There are times when we wonder how our world came to be. And here in the book of Genesis we begin to find the answer. We find that God created the earth and everything in it, and made humans in His Likeness. And although we may not understand the complexity of just how He did it, it makes it clear that God did create all life. This not only shows God’s authority over humanity, but His deep love for all people.
I have learned that many of the events that take place in the book of Genesis predate writing, so it is difficult to assign precise dates to these early events. We will, however, present a close connection between the biblical account and what is known from other historical sources.
Chapter 1:1: In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
Or you could say it this way; In the beginning when God created the heavens and the earth. . . or even: When God began to create the heavens and the earth. Either way you say them they bring to bear the entire creation account (Verses 1:3–2:3).
And as we pursue that account, we come see that the key question of Who created the world is also answered here. Oh, how the natural mindset of the world rejects this question and that of creation’s purpose, but the truth in the book of Genesis acknowledges and affirms God’s role and purpose in the creation. And in my search for the truth, through many years of study I have come to the realization that God never does anything without purpose. For in truth, I have found that the Scriptures give us a comprehensive insight into Gods will and purpose not only for Creation, but also for our lives.
And His willful design begins with the Genesis Creation through the final Chapter of The book of Revelation and on into eternity.
Colossians 2:3 AMPC gives us an acute perception into what lays in store for us if we can only analyze the treasures of wisdom and knowledge which are concealed in the Anointed One Himself!
“In Him all the treasures of divine wisdom, the comprehensive insight into the ways and purposes of God and all the riches of spiritual knowledge and enlightenment are stored up and lie hidden.”
As we continue on our journey I must repeat; In Christ lie all the treasures of divine wisdom and all of the riches of spiritual knowledge and enlightenment. Begin to anticipate that in Christ you will begin to visualize these comprehensive insights in the ways and purposes of God. You must take ownership making His ways and purposes your own.
How do you accomplish this? Well, to start out, ask yourself these questions. How does God think? What does He think about and what does He do with all that He thinks about? Have you ever wondered about this? In the mountains that spring out between El Paso, Tx and Juarez, Mexico, the believers who live there have whitewashed this saying on the side of the mountain and it is visible from I-10. "LA BIBLIA ES LA VERDAD LEELA" I'll translate, "THE BIBLE IT IS THE TRUTH READ IT." And in reading His Word I believe that you will come to learn His method of operation through the Truth which saturates the Scriptures. In reading His Word, you will take hold of the opportunity He has laid before so that we can and will come to understand His thoughts and His ways.
The best part of about it all is that it’s all free and available just for the asking. For He is more than willing to share it with us. We must only desire to pursue it and understand it. The fact is that you may have read about the Word of God, but until you desire to truly seek the Word of God and make it your own, you may have trouble understanding it.
Remember, you are to be empowered by the presence of the Holy Trinity in your life, for we are not alone in this endeavor, God the Father has made His presence known, and as for Jesus Who is the Power and Wisdom of God, He said that, "surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
People! He promised to be with us until the end of time, and what about Holy Spirit, Jesus foretold of His coming, Holy Spirt came to tell us of things to come. All in all, their purpose behind their helping us is to allow us better access to God and His ways.
The Holy Trinity was here before and at the creation, and knowing this will help us to further understand The Triune God. And in order for us to connect directly with The Father, and in order for us to hear His voice and actually communicate directly with Him. It would not hurt us in coming to know Him through the Holy Trinity.
So awaken your spirit and take this suggestion to study the Word of God. Go ahead and choose to fire up that desire to actually come to know God intimately, Believe me He will make Himself available to you, without a doubt, He will make Himself known to you.
So until next week, I leave you to meditate two of the most powerful Scriptures I've ever encountered. Now, If you can't get past these two, you must re-evaluate your belief system and your being obedient to Gods Word.
2 Timothy 3:16-17
All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. 17 God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.

October 01, 2017

Last week we closed with a homework assignment. I gave you two Scriptures to meditate on. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 is vital to this teaching because I believe that in coming to understand that all Scripture is inspired of God, you will operate formidably in whatever you do for the Kingdom of Heaven.
I can say this because the Scriptures show themselves to be perfect, and the revelation presented is perfect. Everything is so divinely adjusted by God Almighty that every person who comes into an infinite revelation touched by God, begins to see that the whole principle of Scripture is perfect from the beginning to the end. Not a single thing in the Scriptures clashes with or contradicts Holy Spirit. And if there is to be any contradiction, it is usually the flesh, our carnal nemesis that does its best at deceiving us and keeping us from hearing the whole truth and nothing but the truth!
Let us also look at the fact that the Scriptures being *inspired by God do not negate the active involvement of the human authors. But it does affirm that God is fully responsible for His word. To move in Gods arena of Excellence you must come to know that the Scriptures are true, reliable, authoritative, permanent, and powerful because they come from God Himself. Their message is coherent, and they are consistent in their testimony about Jesus Christ. Thus they have the power to bring salvation and a faith that brings you to the light. And they must not be abused, as the false teachers had been doing, but must be taught properly. And the consequence of God’s inspiration, is that all Scripture is useful, both in the OT and the NT which are together our guide and teacher in life.
*(literally God-breathed, breathed out by God’s own mouth)
Ok let’s get a move on and get back to the creation.
Creation: The divine act by which, according to various religious and philosophical traditions, the world was brought into existence. It was God's act of bringing the universe into being.
Yet, let us remind ourselves that God is not a part of creation or limited by it; He is the Creator and the supreme ruler over everything created. And as we found out earlier in this teaching, God’s creative speech brought order to the chaotic state of the universe. As my spiritual father Dr. Nasir Siddiki would say, “We live in a Voice Activated System.” What happens to come out of our mouths brings creativity into play. Just as it worked for God it works for us. Praise God!
That is why I never got into this silent prayer gig, when I pray to our Father, I pray with a loud voice. That way my Faith Frequency along with my Voice Frequency gets the job done. Look to what Matthew 21:21 instructs us to do.
Matthew 21:21
Then Jesus told them, "I tell you the truth, if you have faith and don't doubt, you can do things like this and much more. You can even say to this mountain, 'May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,' and it will happen.
POWERFUL!! VOICE ACTIVATED SYSTEM!!
And through voicing our prayers and our studies He allows us to understand the hidden treasures of divine wisdom, spiritual knowledge and insight into understanding why God even took time to create us. If you’ve ever wondered what your life is all about, what the purpose for your being is, there's good news, and it’s called the Gospel of Jesus Christ, but there is more to it than most of us have perceived. God has provided a way for us to understand His purpose for our life. It not only gives purpose through the Gospel of Jesus Christ, but also through the Bible in its entirety, from start to finish. My ears ring out with what Jesus declared in
Revelations 1:8.
“I am the Alpha and the Omega—the beginning and the end,” says the Lord God. “I am the one who is, who always was, and who is still to come—the Almighty One.”
Remember, He not only existed at the beginning and end but also existed everywhere in between. The Hebrew says “Aleph Tav." The Greek says "Alpha Omega." Illustrated in Fig. 1.
“I Am the Alpha and the Omega—the beginning and the end” (literally I Am the Alpha and the Omega): I Am is the name of God in the OT. Jesus applied this name to Himself. Alpha and Omega are the first and last letters of the Hebrew alphabet; To me they signify that God’s actions are all-encompassing for God is fully in control. There will be a more concise teaching on this further in this teaching.
In John 4:26 declares, “Then Jesus told her, “I Am the Messiah!” Also can be noted as “The ‘I am’ is here” or “I am the Lord” The Greek reads “I am, the one speaking to you”. This one phrase from Jesus was unusual and forceful, and it suggests identity with God and is a significant understanding of His Position in the Holy Trinity. His position and purpose are being identified by ones discernment of Who Jesus was, is and will be.
Just as Jesus has purpose, so do we, believe me brothers and sisters we were created for a reason, and for a specific purpose. We are not just an accident. God made us who we are, and we are His perfect creation. He designed us exactly as who we are with intent and purpose. We were brought into this world to be used by God to accomplish something special. But we must actively search for that purpose for which we were created. A life of abundance and contentment can only be achieved by our fulfilling this God inspired purpose for our lives. It happens by living our lives according to that for which we were created. For that is who we are.
Thus, we attain satisfaction by being who we really are. By becoming and being that person which God created. Fulfilling that purpose for which we were predestined to complete.
Colossians 2:2-4 MSG
“I want you woven into a tapestry of love, in touch with everything there is to know of God. Then you will have minds confident and at rest, focused on Christ, God’s great mystery. All the richest treasures of wisdom and knowledge are embedded in that mystery and nowhere else. And we’ve been shown the mystery! I’m telling you this because I don’t want anyone leading you off on some wild-goose chase, after other so-called mysteries, or “the Secret.”
Don’t miss out on everything God has in store for you. Live your life the way it was intended to be lived. Complete the mission for which you were created. And enjoy the rewards of living a life worth living. I believe that one of His purposes for us to possibly achieve this, is to educate us through His Holy Word about what happened before the creation accounts in other words getting to know the What, Who and Why of His ways and purposes in the Creation account.
So I will close here until next week, and again I leave you to meditate three more of the most powerful Scriptures I've ever encountered. As I meditated these Scriptures, they opened the eyes and ears of my spirit to do just what they instructed me to do. If you do likewise, you will be empowered in a such a manner that will enhance your understanding of obedience. When you obey the reward will always be there within your reach.
2 Chronicles 7:14-18 NLT
14 Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land. 15 My eyes will be open and my ears attentive to every prayer made in this place. 16 For I have chosen this Temple and set it apart to be holy—a place where my name will be honored forever. I will always watch over it, for it is dear to my heart.
WOW!!! Holy Spirit has us looking at a variety of Scriptures, lets just allow Him to do what He was sent to do. See you next week.
I can say this because the Scriptures show themselves to be perfect, and the revelation presented is perfect. October 12, 2017
Alright my brothers and sisters in Christ, we start another day as we just got back from Vienna, Ohio. Pastor Karen and I were invited to a wedding. Pastors Jeff and Andrea Swogger requested our presence at their daughter Dana's marriage to Neo Khamphoumy. It was a glorious wedding in which the glory of God was honored and Present. We also had the honor of attending Dr. Nasir Siddiki's Conference on "How to Move The Hand of God" at the Greater Youngstown Wisdom Center. So it was a most enjoyable and enlightening trip.
My advice to you all is this, if you ever get a chance to attend a conference where Dr. Siddiki is teaching. Be sure to get there for the anointing of God is on this man. I have found that the 13 years of knowing this teacher from God have changed my life. Not because of who he is, but because of Who he preaches that Jesus is. Hallelujah!! You may click on our teachings heading and then click on Dr. Nasir Siddiki and you will find a short Bio and Info of how to connect with his ministry. I highly recommend it.
Well, here it is Thursday morning and all is well. I want to thank each and everyone of you for taking time to look over our website. If I were you I would take time and muse over what is taught here and allow Holy Spirit move in you in discerning the mighty Word of God. I do not claim to know everything there is to know about God, but you can be sure that what I have learned I will impart to you.
Do not allow the adversary to fill your mind with preconceived notions and prejudice. Allow Holy Spirit to take action in dominating your thoughts, thus you will be sure that what you are thinking will be of a higher level than that of the worlds.
OK, let us begin this teaching with a review of last week’s homework. There are some power saturated words that need to be looked at in 2 Chronicles 7:14-18 and they need to be seen with an investigating eye, an eye that sees beyond our natural into Gods supernatural.
“Who are called by my name” what a significant connection.is noted here, I believe it is a covenant connection between we His children and He our Father. It is a connection that brings us to the point of obedience to His instruction.
“Will humble themselves”
Romans 12:3 gives us an insight into what humility He prefers from us.
3 Because of the privilege and authority God has given me, I give each of you this warning: Don’t think you are better than you really are. Be honest in your evaluation of yourselves, measuring yourselves by the faith God has given us.
In this we should heed the warning, for it moves us into being not only truthful with ourselves, but also with God the Father.
“To pray”
This verb means to make a spoken request on behalf of oneself or others, often by asking God for something in prayer. Such prayer can be vocal or internal, personal or public. Most of all it is the currency of the Kingdom, a powerful form of communication between you and your Creator.
“and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways”
Matthew 6:33
Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need.
What better avenues of seeking God’s face than going straight to the Kingdom that He reigns over. Moving into a Kingdom where righteousness rules supreme.
As we studied and meditated on these verses it is possible to see where through God’s instruction, He is still in His creation mode. I believe that from the beginning of time He has not stopped creating. Everyday His Word is creating within us that which He has planned for us since the start of Creation.
I’ve often since people wearing T-shirts that state, “Still under Construction”. I prefer to say, “Still being Created.” God is still creating through His written Word. Who I was ten years ago is not the same person that I am today. In meditating and studying His Word I have been in a state of creativity moving forward into eternity with God. Have you ever taken time to look at what arises from meaning this word Create.
To create is to cause, to bring about, to dream up, to bring life, to appoint, to establish, to set up. All these things are still motivating us as God creates us in His image. I dare say, He has not stopped creating us in His image. The image that He has wanted us to walk in since the beginning, so do not be misled Creation is still happening. We are still contributing to the story of Creation for we are still the conception, the brainchild and the Genesis of God the Father.
Let us look at some attributes and characteristics of God. We start with agreeing that God exists—He is—He is the eternal self-existent One. He is outside of time.
In my quest for knowledge and Wisdom I have encountered many avenues to seeking God. Some have been somewhat truthful and others have really caught my interest because of their backing what they teach with Scripture. The following I believe will give you a greater insight to God's Creation.
The Bible makes it clear that God’s existence is completely separate from the history of this universe.
Throughout the Scriptures, God provides man some of the details of His existence before the creation. He has not kept His purposes and plans for the creation and before the creation from us . The following are several things we know existed or were planned by God before the creation event took place.
The Holy Trinity existed as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Psalms 90:2 Before the mountains were born, before you gave birth to the earth and the world, from beginning to end, you are God.
John 1:1-2 In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. He existed in the beginning with God. God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him.
Scripture shows us that God knows the beginning to the end and is outside of time. He is the Aleph Tav!
Revelation 1:8 “I am the Alpha and the Omega—the beginning and the end,” says the Lord God. “I am the one who is, who always was, and who is still to come—the Almighty One.”
Revelation 22:13 “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.”
Shows the Love of God the Father for His Son Jesus.
John 17:24 Father, I want these whom you have given me to be with me where I am. Then they can see all the glory you gave me because you loved me even before the world began!
Demonstrates the glory that God the Father shared with Jesus.
John 17:5 Now, Father, bring me into the glory we shared before the world began.
There was a Kingdom prepared for the saints.
Matthew 25:34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the creation of the world.
Through Jesus, secrets would be revealed to the Body of Christ.
Romans 16:25 Now all glory to God, who is able to make you strong, just as my Good News says. This message about Jesus Christ has revealed his plan for you Gentiles, a plan kept secret from the beginning of time
1 Corinthains 2:7 No, the wisdom we speak of is the mystery of God—his plan that was previously hidden, even though he made it for our ultimate glory before the world began.
The names of believers were written in the Book of Life-Salvation
Revelation 17:8 The beast you saw was once alive but isn’t now. And yet he will soon come up out of the bottomless pit and go to eternal destruction. And the people who belong to this world, whose names were not written in the Book of Life before the world was made, will be amazed at the reappearance of this beast who had died.
Revelation 13:8 And all the people who belong to this world worshiped the beast. They are the ones whose names were not written in the Book of Life before the world was made—the Book that belongs to the Lamb who was slaughtered.
Titus 1:2 This truth gives them confidence that they have eternal life, which God—who does not lie—promised them before the world began.
Ephesians 1:4-5
4Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes.
5God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure
The Cross
1 Peter 1:19-20 19 It was the precious blood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God.
20 God chose him as your ransom long before the world began, but he has now revealed him to you in these last days.
We must come to realize that God is not bound to time, space, or matter for it is all His creation. He was before all we see or can come to understand. God is still revealing His plan to us through His written Word and the things that are still to come. And with the unconditional Love (Agape) that He has for us. God committed to demonstrate His love to His creation through the sacrifice of the cross!
We will continue along these lines next week as we pursue the leading of Holy Spirit. But before I close, here are some Scripture that I believe you will enjoy meditating on.
The Heart of the Matter: Total Transformation (Romans 12:1-2)
1 And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him.
2 Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
Humility (Romans 12:3)
3 Because of the privilege and authority God has given me, I give each of you this warning: Don’t think you are better than you really are. Be honest in your evaluation of yourselves, measuring yourselves by the faith God has given us.
We will investigate and move into the light of these Scriptures when we meet next week. Until then, be at Peace with one another and remember “Jesus is Lord!!!”

October 20, 2017
Oh, it’s good to see believer’s come together in studying the Mighty Word of God. I welcome you all to Tree of Life Church Online teaching. Let us look to where we left off last week. I believe it was in Romans 12:1-3. These Scriptures provide some kind of powerful instruction when it comes to seeking out the characteristics and attributes of God. The light of discernment in these precepts are totally life giving.
WOW! Make a decisive dedication of your body! In doing so,your body now belongs to God, it is His Temple, it no longer belongs to you. Your declaration must be this, “I give it totally to You Father God! From this moment on, You are in control of this body. Your speech, Your thoughts, and Your actions dominate this body. Just as Your Son Jesus said, “I cannot do anything apart from You," and neither can I.
Do not call your body, your body anymore, call it your living and holy sacrifice. You must endeavor to grab hold and hang on, so as to embrace a total revelation of this dedication. Allow your unconditional dedication to show in your daily walk in not listening, doing or going to places that bring things into your life that are contrary to God’s Word.
Listen to the instruction, first of all, you must stay Holy, you must be a keeper of your word so that Holy Spirit sees you as a keeper of your word. In performing this, He will believe your word when you speak against sickness, lack and sin.
This kind of action to submit your body to God shows Him that you are bringing something precious to Him. It’s as you where bowing down at His feet in total submission.
Verse 2
2 Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
As you have made the presentation, it’s now time for the transition. It’s time now to renovate your way of thinking! In presenting your body, you must now fix your mind! It must be an entire transformation. NOW!!!
1 Corinthians 6:19-20
19 Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, 20 for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body.
What the Apostle Paul tells us here is this, “Your bodies have become the temple of Holy Spirit.” Just as the Temple of Israel was where God lived among His people, just as it was a holy place, set apart for God’s purposes and presence. That is exactly what your body is now. Our bodies have now been set apart for God’s Holy Spirit to live in.
Because of this we are not to treat our bodies like they were given to us merely for our own personal use. God paid a great price for us with the life and death of His Son. So now, we are held responsible in taking good care of our bodies, valuing them, so that in so doing, we will come to honor our God who now dwells in them.
To better illustrate this, we must look to Jesus Who gave up control of His body thus becoming equipped for the service to His Father. In submitting our bodies we ourselves become equipped with the power of God. I want you to keep your minds fixed on this fact, for it will help establish you. It will also strengthen you if you think about Paul who was “one born out of due time.”
His thoughts were “As though I had been born at the wrong time” This phrase I believe might express the unusual manner of Paul’s conversion, or the derogatory view that some opponents held of his apostleship, or his own sense of unworthiness to be an apostle. The overall emphasis is on the extraordinary grace of God to Paul as a former persecutor of Christ’s people.
The Message Bible gives us a better rendition of how Paul felt about his position.
3-9 The first thing I did was place before you what was placed so emphatically before me: that the Messiah died for our sins, exactly as Scripture tells it; that He was buried; that He was raised from death on the third day, again exactly as Scripture says; that He presented himself alive to Peter, then to His closest followers, and later to more than five hundred of His followers all at the same time, most of them still around (although a few have since died); that He then spent time with James and the rest of those he commissioned to represent Him; and that He finally presented Himself alive to me. It was fitting that I bring up the rear. I don’t deserve to be included in that inner circle, as you well know, having spent all those early years trying my best to stamp God’s church right out of existence.
Paul was as a branch plucked from the fire, chosen by God to be an apostle to the Gentiles. I want you to see him first as a persecutor, fast in destroying those who were bringing the gospel to the people. He worked so hard in putting them into prison, forcing them with torture to blaspheme the Holy name of Christ.
We must then watch him moved into total submission, changed by the power of Christ and His gospel, we must watch him divinely transformed by God, in being filled with Holy Spirit. This same transition is in our path, we must not allow the world to squeeze us into being molded with its contrariness to God’s Word. We must be transformed by allowing the fire of God’s Word to rekindle the holy ambition within us.
God wants witnesses, witnesses of truth, witnesses to the full truth, witnesses to the fullness of redemption, witnesses to the deliverance from the power of sin and disease, witnesses who can claim their territory, because of the eternal power working in them, eternal life beautifully, gloriously filling the body, until the body is filled with the life of the spirit.
God wants us to believe that we may be ministers of that kind. I want you to be able to say this, and I quote, "When the Holy Spirit is upon me, I can move in the Word of God forever." Smith Wigglesworth best summed it up in this manner, "It must and will be the Holy Spirit at the first, in the middle, and at the end." A total submission of body!!
Humility (Romans 12:3)
3 Because of the privilege and authority God has given me, I give each of you this warning: Don’t think you are better than you really are. Be honest in your evaluation of yourselves, measuring yourselves by the faith God has given us.
Because of the privilege and authority: Because of the grace by the faith God has given us: by the faith God has given you; or by the standard of our God-given faith. Whether Paul is referring to the amount of faith each of us has been given or to the Christian faith that we all hold in common, we need to assess ourselves accurately by this measure and not be vain about the abilities God has given us.
Let us follow the direction, instruction and description given by the following Scriptures.
Romans 12:4-8
4 Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, 5 so it is with Christ’s body. We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other. 6 In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well. So if God has given you the ability to prophesy, speak out with as much faith as God has given you. 7 If your gift is serving others, serve them well. If you are a teacher, teach well. 8 If your gift is to encourage others, be encouraging. If it is giving, give generously. If God has given you leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously. And if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly.
Let us do everything we do for God gladly, let us do everything we do in a decent and orderly manner, thus showing the world that we do take the responsibility of preaching and teaching the Gospel seriously.
As I close I look to Philippians 4:8-9
8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. 9 The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.
Excellent advice to lean on, meditate on these. Until next week God Bless and remember that “Jesus is Lord!”

January 29, 2018
Oh, it’s good to see believer’s come together in studying the Mighty Word of God. I welcome you all to FJVM online teaching. Today let us look to where we left off in our last teaching. I believe it was in Philippians 4:8-9.
Before we continue, let us remind ourselves to do everything that we do for God gladly, let us do everything we do in a decent and orderly manner, thus showing the world that we do take the responsibility of preaching and teaching the Gospel seriously.
Lets look to Philippians 4:8-9
8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. 9 The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.
When I read the part that says, "and the God of peace will be with you." I felt in my spirit a forcefulness of authority come upon me. How can one have the peace of God within them if they do not carry the authority of God within them. It must be a Believer's Authority, for with forcefulness there is also faithfulness.
I truly believe that this Scripture shows us the way to take this Believer's Authority and be able to use it with a godly protocol initiated by God. How can you walk in the authority that God has given you, when in fact you are not thinking on things that are true, noble, just, pure, full of love and virtuous. Without these attributes how can you give a good report in preaching the gospel. Jesus walked with these identities, thus He walked with authority, He studied His Fathers Word and because He meditated on these things that came to Him from the Father and only did these things that the Father told Him to do. Well, that's why He walked with authority.
There may be some that are asking themselves, why am I not walking with this power. Well, I believe that there is a high percentage of the body of Christ that is still ignorant of this authority. It is an authority that they’ve yet to discover—and since they have no idea of what that authority is. They are missing out on the power that one would have if they only knew about it. I believe that God through His instruction, is trying to show us what that authority is about in Philippians 4:8-9.
He gives us the formula consisting of attributes and of characteristics that we must uphold. He is demonstrating what this Authoritative Power is throughout the Bible, through Scriptures such as this one. The Bible has been placed in our hands to show us just how we can obtain this authority. And I believe when you begin to study the Word presented to us in it's precepts, in what is written. You’ll have a better chance of experiencing the authority that He’s been trying to impart to us throughout our lives. I believe that it is the most important characteristic that we as believers should be walking under. It has been called by many as The Authority of the Believer.
The Authority of the Believer is one of the most misunderstood subjects of the Bible. Many Christians struggle throughout their lives because they don’t have any revelation about the authority they already possess.
Listen closely, "God’s people never perish for lack of money; they perish instead because they lack knowledge." (Hosea 4:6)
From what I have seen recently a large part of the brethren have yet to discover this authority. What I am talking about my brothers and sisters is not an ordinary advantage, it is the supernatural authority of God, the power of God that has been given to us to use here on this earth.
And we must now come to the realization that this authority is ours to use. The devil has long fought the body of Christ over this revelation. He knows that if we discover our authority in Christ, he’s finished. We are no threat to him as long as we live in ignorance. We are no threat to him as long as we do not live out the instruction given to us in such Scriptures as Philippians 4:8-9.
If we follow His instructions, then only are we dangerous to him. It comes when we realize that in being seated with Christ in heavenly places, Jesus has given us authority over him. It comes through the Word of God that empowers our thinking, our speech, thus empowering our actions. Thank God that some of us are least beginning to see and understand what we have been given and what we have.
Jesus told His disciples,
Luke 10:19 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)
19 Behold! I have given you authority and power to trample upon serpents and scorpions, and [physical and mental strength and ability] over all the power that the enemy [possesses]; and nothing shall in any way harm you.
And I believe that before Jesus comes again many will rise up with this authority as they take ownership of this powerful weapon. Let me make sure we understand that Jesus was not giving His disciples permission to step on the critters in their backyards.
No, Jesus was speaking symbolically of the enemy, what He was saying is this. Just as easy as it is to step on these critters, that’s how easy it is to step all over satan. This is the authority He gave us to deflate satan of all his power. We must get know this authority and how to use it. This will allow us to do the work that God intended for each of us to accomplish.
Matthew 28:18-19 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)
18 Jesus approached and, breaking the silence, said to them, All authority (all power of rule) in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.
19 Go then and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
In context, Jesus was saying, “In my authority, go into all the world and make disciples.”
YOU'VE BEEN GIVEN HIS AUTHORITY!!!
The Bible here and elsewhere describes this restoration of authority. In the book of Genesis, we learn that Adam lost it through disobedience. But Jesus, through the cross and His resurrection, won it back! Followed up by Him giving this authority to us! But to make any good use of it, we must follow the instruction of truthfulness, pureness, virtuous and walking in the love of God. For it is written that Love never fails! And you can take that to the bank! From here brothers and sisters it is totally in your hands, so move on to the celebration of the victory, especially in knowing that this adversary has already been defeated.
I'll see you next time, when we look to just that, for everything mentioned in Philippians 4:8-9 is contained in the power of Love. And in that Love is where the Authority of the Believer moves with God's power.
1 Corinthians 13:8 (AMPC)
8 Love never fails.......................... Remember my friends, "Jesus is Lord!"
