An Overcomer lives in a manner that is consistent with our identity in Christ.
John 16:33 AMPC 33 I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]
Welcome, as Overcomers of darkness we must look to Jesus, for He is our template of God’s power, for becoming the Overcomer that Jesus depicted.
It is from here in our laying claim to God’s omnipotent proficiency that we can gain a divine capacity for being affective in God’s “Arena of Excellence,” in His Spiritual Realm. It is there where we can gain possession of God’s Love (Agape), His Wisdom, and at the same time, His Blueprint for mapping out our destiny in becoming the Overcomer that His Son, Jesus, was and still is. We must always live in a manner that is consistent with our identity in Christ! But before we can arrive at the meat of the matter, we must turn to the vital fundamental Scriptures that support the reality of God’s mandates. The truth of this situation is that these sacred writings are actually God-given directives that must be adhered to in our crusade for qualifying ourselves as Overcomers, warriors who have voluntarily enlisted to battle the sin and demonic tribulation of this world.
As members of God’s army, our spiritual arsenal must be equipped with the following powerfully anointed and informative Scriptures. They are indispensable for our success in dominating the forces of darkness in these sinful and turbulent times. We must approach these battles by having the God kind of Faith in these vitally important Scriptures. It is necessary that “We walk by faith and not by Sight,” (2 Corinthians:5:7).
For walking in faith will be the only road that leads us to the place that we can receive directly from the Throne room! So, it is vital that we truly come to realize that all Scripture has come to us by divine intervention, directly from God to man.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 AMP 16 All Scripture is God-breathed [given by divine inspiration] and is profitable for instruction, for conviction [of sin], for correction [of error and restoration to obedience], for training in righteousness [learning to live in conformity to God's will, both publicly and privately-behaving honorably with personal integrity and moral courage]; 17 so that the man of God may be complete and proficient, outfitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work.
2 Peter 1:20-21 GW 20 First, you must understand this: No prophecy in Scripture is a matter of one's own interpretation. 21 No prophecy ever originated from humans. Instead, it was given by the Holy Spirit as humans spoke under God's direction.
Matthew 4:4 KJV 4But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
James 1:5-8 NLT 5 If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. 6 But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind. 7 Such people should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. 8 Their loyalty is divided between God and the world, and they are unstable in everything they do.
Proverbs 9:9 NLT 9Instruct the wise, and they will be even wiser. Teach the righteous, and they will learn even more.
